Default Gold Airlines

Hi
Was looking through Seek.com.au and came across a somewhat interesting add for something called Gold Airlines:

http://www.seek.com.au/job/chief-fin...16760656/48/1/

I then did a google search and came across this website
http://www.goldairways.com.au/index.html

Does anyone know anything about this mob? Does this look like another somewhat airline....

Looks like schoolboy stuff to me. The bad spelling and poor diction on the website says a lot.

Should be a good year for the travelling public, http://www.alphajet.com.au/ says they'll be launching this year too

Anyone got any more for the list?

Interesting how the aircraft in the picture has been called an A320-211 when in fact it is an A319. To me as others have said looks like a school project to me rather than any serious attempt at bringing a new airline to the country.

This has been around for years:

Probability it will get off the ground - zero.

Tiger Airways are starting to realise that cracking the Australian market is not a walk in the park.... Guess Singapore Airlines thought they could get in the back door with the pacific route but when that went belly up, it left Tiger very exposed........to a service concious market who wants cheap travel....

New routes, marketing gimmicks are very quickly belted by Qantas/Jetstar with capacity and dollars .......Virgin also does similar so if a new start up wants to fly the the main trunk routes and offer exceptional service/meals etc as their web site states....do they really think Qantas will lay down? again ask Tiger about their Sydney route??? JQ have seen to that as well as Virgin....

The quick buck makers who think that aviation is the way to go really do need to think about what they are doing!
Go home..... we have enough choice at present and all these new start ups are doing is putting people out of work!

the car racing guy who was going to revolutionise travel for the business person springs to mind..... OZJet? gone........... staff.........gone.......

the Melbourne -Sydney route has 4 main players catering to every price range so to speak.... add another carrier and that bites into the other 4 who react by dropping frequency (remember - they cannot say that the plane has gone tech because of there being more crew on the plane than passengers) so flights are cancelled, frequency drops off and staff have to be moved to other sectors and coming out of a so called GFC, Airlines are in no position to play with the numbers so inevitably, staff are moved...........
that is what i meant by "people out of work"...
now........ the photo issue.........
totally agree......... more new liveries are always welcome in the album

Mayby 1 carrier with 65% of the market and 2 brands is far too much.

There is nothing stopping any carrier starting up provided they pass all the audits and conditions of Casa and Air Services Australia.Safety, financial requirements are 2 of many.

No carrier today has the right to ownership of the Australian skies.

I personally hope one of these 2 carriers make it and yes more aircraft to photograph.

Cheers Lloyd
