Hey Nigel is still there i drove in this morning and did 2 laps of the airport looking through every little peep hole and couldn't find it.

Andrew, the last i saw it was at Qantas East with only the tail visible from the entrance of the Dom-1 apron. I don't have a departure time available unfortunately.

RAF C-17 ZZ173 is sitting in the hammerhead near the pond at the top of RWY16R right now - looks like it's preparing to depart.

It was towed out from the area near hangar 96.

Updated 10:09 - rolling under its own steam now, taxiing across RWY 16R to Alpha.

I'm in sydney at the moment on the 33rd floor of a building in the CBD.

Saw the C17 take of sometime between 10:00 - 10:30. After takeoff it looked like it was heading west. Lost sight of it as it went behind the building.

A RAF C-17 just touched down on 34L at around 1235 it went to the Qantas freight area.
