Smile 3 Military Choppers buzzing Syd on 07/08/2008

Whilst at work yesterday at Silverwater, there were 3 military choppers in formation buzzing the place. They done at least 3 runs along the river and towards Auburn. Anyone have any idea what they were up to?
Thanks

I noticed that they were doing the same thing just before WYD08... But, I think they are a bit late for that

The Blackhawks were around at the same area since Monday, just haven't seen them doing the night run in formation of 3 this time.

I see them doing a Parramatta east/west run once a month or so at all different times - I assume some kind of training run. Unusually, last Wed I believe they actually circled the Harbour Bridge before continuing easterly.
