Have to wonder now whether there will be a rethink of flying over other troublespots - no matter what assurances may be in place.
It always surprised my that many fly over Afghanistan for instance. Right now on FlightRadar, I see that SQ321 (LHR-SIN) and MAS1 (LHR-KUL) are both flying close together over NW Iran. Both flightpaths show a dip to the south - well away from any Russian airspace as well as the Caucasus area.
