Emirates B773 A6-EBQ was seen climbing out over Katoomba and heading West this morning on flight EK3413 . Any ideas anyone as to this unusual flight number and the origin /destination of this flight ?? ....

According to 16Right.com ACARS:

Arrived direct from DXB?
A6-EBQ EK5412 27/05/2008 08:04 Emirates B777-36NER Dubai-Sydney

And according to Sydneyairport.com it went back direct to DXB at 10am so it was only here for about 2hrs. No idea why.

The charter must have been inbound only, because the travel industry sales sites have been flogging off really cheap fares on the return SYD-DXB sector ($600-odd return)
