Scoot Airlines - Inaugural Flight to Sydney
Scoot Airlines (OQ) has confirmed the flight details for its inaugural flight.
OQ002 - SIN - SYD 23:25 - 09:00+1 OQ001 - SYD - SIN 12:50 - 19:00 If you are interested in being one of the first passengers on board tickets are available for sale on the inaugural flight through their website. Also, stay tuned for details from Kurt regarding the plane spotter weekend in May.

18/6 I will be flying out on TZ1 in Y, and my return on TZ2 in J will be on 6/7... Looking forward to seeing what they are like!!
I got an email about the flight designation code being changed from OQ to TZ, yet on the link that Shayne posted, its TN77 test flight... Has it been changed again, or is it a code the Singaporeans use??

Bernie you are correct. Scoot changed their designator codes in May.
Updated times and details for Scoot's inaugural flight tomorrow: TZ002 - SIN: 23:25-1 - SYD: 09:20 TZ001 - SYD:12:50 - SIN: 19:00 Aircraft Type - B777-200 Seats - 400 (40J & 360Y) Aircraft Registration - 9V-OTC (Goin' Scootin) Runway - TBC To mark the arrival of Scoot, AirServices Australia will be hosting several celebrations throughout the morning: - tweeting Scoot's inaugural arrival - air traffic controllers will be broadcasting a special 'welcome message' with Scoot's landing clearance - two aviation rescue fire trucks will perform a ceremonial water arch salute on arrival - filming the arrival which can be later watched from their youtube channel Enjoy!

Forecast at this stage looks to be ok for the morning arrival now, with light to moderate southerly winds.
Forecast for the departure isn't looking so pretty, with southerly wind gusts to 50kts forecast from 1pm.

Updated forecast suggests northerly winds for the morning period and the big southerly 'surge' from around 1500, so it looks like 34L for the arrival.
