Default New domestic routes for QF

Some interesting if not particularly surprising announcements from QF today:

* Q400 daily for BNE-PQQ
* B717 daily for SYD-HVB
* B738 daily for SYD-HTI
* B738 weekly (Saturday) for MEL-CFS
* Q300 for BNE to Miles

It doesn't surprise me, I would expect a few changes, I'd say there'll be some cuts in places in the near future as well, I'm thinking the SYD-HVB might utilise the two class 717 that sits in Sydney most days but I'm sure we'll know soon enough!

From the times for the HVB flight it's a SYD-HVB-SYD as opposed to BNE-HVB-SYD-HVB-BNE which I thought it might've been. So unless they've got more good news up their sleeve for all-Y 717s out of SYD it's gonna have to be two-class.

Where did you get the aircraft type details? Can't find it in the media release.

There's a thread on airliners.net which links to another page at qantas.com. Some of the types are on that page and others I found myself (BNE-PQQ, Miles).

It is in a table at the bottom of the release.

Virgin have been operating BNE-PMQ for a while now in the ATR. Brindebella stoped operating it years ago, when they changed their focus to Coffs Harbour. Before Brindy the route was operated by Sunshine Express (via CFS) and before them Impulse in the 1900D's

Can't see there is enough demand for 2 operators, but I guess QF wants to keep that 65% line in the sand, no matter what.

Never expected to see QF mainline in CFS, there is already a week flight on saturday with VA so will be interesting to see how they compete. Would like to see it move to bi-weekly sometime, at the moment with connecting flights it's difficult to go CFS-MEL for under $200 one way.
