Popular Emirates A380 Auckland Service Expands

Emirates’ highly successful A380 superjumbo service from Auckland to Sydney and Dubai will expand to daily operation from tomorrow (Saturday, May 2).

Hmm... economy may be near full, but business class definitely isn't. I was offered an upgrade to business for my trip this week-end for AU$130 on the way there and NZ$130 on the way back. My economy fare was a cheap $320 return fare, so all up I'm paying about $550 return in business.

Please refrain from quoting the whole post above in your post, it is not necessary - mod

Hardly surprising on such a short trip. The cheap upgrade is a good idea to extract some more money out of people, BA offer cheap, at the check-in upgrades on most of their European flights.

Dan, 130 one way upgrade is an absolutely steal. You'll find it is worth every cents, I believe it will include Limo service too? What dates are you travelling? On my recent flight over Easter with Emirates, we record a zero load in First, 30% in Business (empty bar at the back) and 90% in Economy.

The upgrade specifically excluded the limo service. But its still a great deal anyway. I'm travelling this week-end... currently in NZ.

Business was probably less than 50% full.
