I had seen 0630 as the arrival time a few days ago, however the Sydney Airport Arrivals Board is now showing 0815 (maybe a better chance of 16R). A one and a half hour turnaround for a first flight is pushing it a bit.

From The Sydney Morning Heraly "Traveller" ...

Quote:
The first flight will leave Delhi on Thursday afternoon local time, arriving at Kingsford Smith just after 8am on Friday morning. It will fly onto Melbourne, landing at about 11am.

Air India B787 AIC312 into YSSY tomorrow will be operated by VT-ANK.

Currently due in at 0721 - but no doubt will change enroute.

Bay 25 is where she'll park, so for those of you planning to get a water canon salute shot, your best bet might be up at the Observation Deck where they'll position just off Alpha for the entrance into INTL2. Also, subject to change!

They are only giving it a water cannon salute just in case it's on fire!

A Piece Of History

It is 22 years since Air India operated services into Sydney, the last being in January 1991, operated by B747 equipment. Melbourne
was last served by Air India in April 1981, and Perth in June 1997.

Tomorrow will see the return of Air India to Australia, the first service being operated by Boeing Dreamliner VT-ANK. AI312 operates from
Delhi to Sydney, and AI311 operates Sydney to Delhi via Melbourne, four time a week, and in the opposite direction three times a week.

Air India VT-EFU departing on 16Right on 16/06/1982 - 31 years ago.

Why would the water cannon be banned?
