Virgin Australia: through-checked baggage?
Hello,
Later this year I am flying with VA from the Gold Coast to Perth, on 2 separate/individual flights (ie. not booked on the same ticket) OOL-SYD, SYD-PER. Is it possible that I could get my baggage through-checked to Perth upon check-in at OOL, or is that not part of the airline's policy given these flights were not booked on the same ticket? Cheers |

VA will not through check baggage on separate PNRs.

Thanks for that MarkR. It does make sense.
I assume if I contact the airline in advance they will not be able to merge my two separate flights onto one PNR without having to pay a 'change fee'? (essentially cancelling my current flights and booking them onto the 1 ticket - which I can do online, although it would cost 2x $80 change fee plus any fare difference) |

They can probably merge it, or link the two together. Worth a try.

Sabre doesn't allow it, and linking them won't work either I am afraid.

Thanks Zac M, thanks MarkR.
I didn't think I had a chance, but thought I would ask here anyway. Cheers |
