just saw a picture of Virgin 737 VH-VBT taken on December 3rd...the aircraft has no winglets!

I thought all Virgin a/c had winglets by now?

VBT is the last one without winglets. Its how how DJ have just left it there.

Aircraft is leased and will be returned soonish hence won't be retrofitted with winglets

VBT was initially going to be returned to GECAS a year or two ago. hence why it was not equipped with winglets or live2air. however the lease was extended and VBT remains in the fleet. Another thing I was thinking was that VBT is Currently DJ's oldest aircraft and a number of early NG models had needed a modification to the wing to accomodate winglets. However doing a little research VBT a 2001 production frame was the 776th 737NG off the line. Alot newer then I had previously thought so Thats definatly not the reason.

It is also the only (non-PB) aircraft without Live 2 Air.

when I flew on -VBT ADL-SYD in June, I was surprised not to see the Live2Air screens. Coming back VUO was the same, no screens either.

VUO is now with Pacific Blue and carries a NZ rego.

VOX and VBU are the other two B737's without live2air.

None of the E170/E190's have it either.
