Default A380 Lands in Fiji due to medical

You will have to excuse some of the mistakes in the article:

A380 Aircraft Lands In Nadi

"The largest passenger carrier in the world, the Qantas Air Bus A380, has for the first time touched down in Fiji this morning.

The Air Bus carrying more than 500 passengers was on its way to Sydney from Los Angeles but was diverted to the Nadi International Airport after a passenger suffered a stroke."

I would love to see if anyone gets a photo of it!

How's the passenger?

Probably more important than an A380 landing in Fiji

Just an update - it appears the crew are out of hours and there is no accomodation in Nadi. VH-OJC is being sent to pick up some of the passengers. An inconvient situation for all concerned but the main priority is the health of the passenger so I hope they are OK. Medical diversions for Pacific flights seem to be common these days.

I was on QF12 and am currently at the Hexagon hotel. The passenger sufferred a heart attack, as verfied by a Doctor and Pediatrician. Accomdation has been provided, with a passengers scheduled to depart tomorrow at 0500 on a 744. There was also a tech issue with OQB. Instrumentation and an airconditioning issue. I'll post some photos when i get back to SYD

Anthony, I agree. Passenger well being is a little more important than an A380 landing somewhere. Woopdey doo, .

You completely missed my point. Anyway, I don't want to start a war so I won't add anything further.

Experience, the place has gone down the plughole since Fiji was booted out of the Commonwelth again in 2006.

Tubbsy,

I believe he was referring to Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen & Pauline Hanson, in regard to your location of Emerald, QLD...

Go figure...
