It ended up being OGJ.
Due for boarding at 1215 and departure at 1235.....
Actually boarded at 1400 and departed at 1510

At least she got a $20 meal voucher out of it!!

I have kept a Log Book of my passenger flights since my first in January, 1965 when I flew Essendon-Adelaide on the Ansett-ANA B727 VH-RME. The jet age had only begun some months earlier

Sometimes conversations with other enthusiasts centres around which aircraft in the fleet you have / have not flown on. There is the anticipation that an upcoming flight will be an aircraft you have yet to fly on.

e.g. 20-30 years ago I did a lot of flying around the countryside and flew on every Ansett DC-9 except VH-CZK, every TAA DC-9 except VH-TJL, every Ansett B727-100 except VH-RMT,

Us enthusiasts are a strange lot

Ah.....TAA DC-9 VH-TJL.

How could you not forget the awesome 'Coral Islander' livery TJL had in the early 80's.

Not to mention the great 'Central Australian' scheme 727 VH-TBK had at the same time.

Great memories.

And I always enjoy a flight on "Virginia" (VH-VBY) - Virgin Blue's 50th aircraft is true blue. Last one was SYD-CNS on 3 July.

Ahh yes, that chasing of the elusive rego... I had been on every single (still operating) QF 737-400 multiple times except for VH-TJY. When the time finally came, I surprised myself even how excited I was!! Most people just don't get it!

And Philip, don't mention VBY - one of the few DJ 737-700s I haven't been on... Grrrr...
