This isn't possible... Series 17 is currently showing in the US - in fact it's the same series being shown here. They get it Sunday night US time, then that same episode is shown here the following Thursday night our time. The final is expected to be screened on 19 December.

Those racers would have finished some time ago.

I guess Series 18 would likely commence screening in February.

I have heard Oprah Australia shows wont go to air till early next year so still could be a possibility. I have reason to belive that Tourism NSW were involved with the set up of the Amazing Race when they came to Sydney and Broken Hill. I wonder if more tax payers money have been pumped in to get the teams over here!?

I agree that the Indian Pacific would be a good option, going either East or West. But how long would it take them to drive to Adelaide via the Barossa for example?

Confirmed sitings of teams getting off the Indian Pacific this morning at Central.

Also I noticed there was a charter flight from Broken Hill on QantasLink landed 7pm last night. QF2295.

I'd say that would be Phil and the production team getting a headstart to the next destination.

I was there after someone tipped me off. got to chat to 3 of the teams, we saw 5 teams in total.

went to ask for a photo, for obvious reasons, they declined, but was a able to get one of their Travel books for Australia signed by 6 of them.

They are a good bunch of people and very happy to have a chat.

and yes they checked in to QF21 off to Tokyo

From the book, (and the notes they scribbled) they had to pick up cars in the outback (broken hill), caught the indian pacific back to sydney, they had a few places in Sydney marked on the map, bridge climb and the Pitt - Market and Castlereagh st area, as well as town hall.
