Default Australian International Air Show 2013

G'day
The Australian international air show is coming up. I haven't been for a few years due to other commitments and this year will be my last for a while as I'm moving interstate a few days after the show.
Just wondering how many people are gonna go this year?

Also will there be a QANTAS aircraft attending this year? It's probably too early to know what type it will be. I don't know what attended in 2011 but in 2009 QANTAS sent the A380 -OQA

Just reading a USAF news letter and it states that the with the Marines setting up joint training in Darwin, the USAF don't want to miss out either. So they are in the process of negotiating presumably with Goverment and ADF to send "Rotations of F-22 fighters and C-17 airlifters" on top of already 2,500 Marines based here on a 6 month rotation. The Marine element is going to consist of artillery as well as logistic, rotary and fighter aircraft.

So I don't know if this has anything to do with the Raptors coming down but an interesting read non the less.

Confirmed today that Aggresor F-16's will not be attending Avalon Airshow, but the usual suspects the PACAF F-16's based at Missawa will be attending with JASDF KC-767 bringing them down apparently...

No word Stuart, but Boeing reps at Paris Airshow last year were quoted saying that they intended to bring it down for Avalon.

I'm peeved that the Army are not bringing anything down I haven't seen the tiger since 2007, and the Chinook since 2005....

On a side point Can a V-22 fit inside a C-17?
