A brief news item on this subject was on SBS tonight and focused on "Jetstar slammed' over pilot training. The report stated that Jetstar were taking on First Officers with as little(?) as 250 hrs training/experience whereas they (Senate Committee) were recommending 1500 hrs minimum training/experience.
Who then has the authority to impose these recommendations (if they are deemed correct)? Must be CASA or is there another body that would?
