On my visit to Bankstown this morning, the BAe 146-200 (E2119) 1988 G-ZAPN was parked on the Runway side of Alpha 2, opposite the Pionair hanger.
There was no one around to talk to and the aircraft had all the covers in place. It is listed on the UK Aircraft Register with Pionair as the Registered Owner,
and has 34104 Hrs as at 31/12/2006.

Great photo's,but did anyone notice the DH-84 Dragon slip quietly into Bankstown on Thursday around lunchtime (my lunchtime, just outside Bunnings).
No photo's but it looked so majestic as it landed.

Must have been a positioning flight prior to heading to Echuca, Victoria, for last weekend's Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia National Fly-In, where the Dragon Rapide (Which is infact a DH-89a) and two other aircraft are regular visitors to.

I'll be getting photos up soon.

Is this the aircraft you are talking about, DH-89A VH-UTV Dragon Rapide (HG656) 1940. The pilot contacted me after
seeing this photograph on my website.

AA is reporting that Skyforce will be receiving a second a/c in November.

A second 146 – ex-G-ZAPK – is due for delivery to Skyforce in November. It will be registered VH-SJF.

Grahame, that is correct, and a beautiful machine it is!

This is what the aircraft looks like now, from last year's Cowra Fly-In
