Default Paris Air Show 2013

Watching the Paris Air Show live on Flight Global, and the two commentators put a pin on their "Where are you watching from" map for me, Wheelsdown from Sydney's Northern Beaches. They have a live tweet feed with the video coverage.

The Dassault Rafale just did a great display, as did the Su-35.

Qatar orders 9 B777-300ERs

Tui Travel order 60 B737 MAX with options for 60 more.

Just returned from Paris this morning...I think AA posted a couple of my pics online, but i only took the pocket dig camera this time.

Great show, but as usual, disgraceful and woeful ground transport and gate clearance operations...they've only been doing it 100 years!!!

Sure you weren't at Farnbourgh by mistake Andrew? Been to the Paris airshow 3 times now (99, 07 and 09) and thought the transport worked very well indeed. Train to Le Bourget, quick wait for bus at entry gate. On return again quick wait for bus, onto train platform straight away and back into town.

Farnbourgh on the other hand (went there 08 and 10), don't get me started, especially how they don't put on a special timetable for the trains, including stopping near empty trains despite the platform being full and the carpark full of passengers waiting to get onto said platform. 3 went past in the 30 minutes I stood on the platform in 2010.

I have to agree, Andrew. A masterpiece of French disorganisation. Avalon has its faults but they do get the public transport right.

Great show, though.

Ash, pretty sure it was Paris...

Perhaps you went on the public days? Trust me, the trade days were woeful!
