PLANE FUEL LEAK SPARKS EMERGENCY LANDING

May 19, 2009

Authorities have praised the pilot of an RAAF fighter jet, who was forced to make an emergency landing in Tamworth today.

The pilot was alerted to a potentially-dangerous fuel leak mid-flight, but managed to land safely.
Training exercise would have been part of “BLACK DAGGER” in the Singleton/Williamtown area over the period 18 May -- 29 May 09.
