Default New block of registrations for QF 737-800's

Hi,

After VH-VZZ, the next three new 738's for QF are to be VH-XZA 39367, VH-XZB 39360 & VH-XZC 39361.

Confusing combinations. It's doing my head in - all the V's X's Y's and Z's lately.

Try typing VH-XZA, hard not to put VH-ZXA... lol.

Regards,

Steve S

Hi Steve

I read some time ago that the XZ range was reserved for Jetstar/QANTAS B787s and that 15 serials had been allocated against construction numbers.

I've had to scrub them from my Database and wonder what will now be allocated.

Cheers

Bob

I'm pretty sure that sometime ago CASA announced that future registrations could include numbers e.g. VH-A33 etc. because of this situation.

As always, stand to be corrected.

It does not make logic to me, because VH-VYM to VH-VYW are 11 available registrations that would suit the remaining 11 new 738's nicely.

I'd love it if they adopted the USA style rego's... eg:

V101QF
V102QF

V101VA
V102VA

V101JQ
V102JQ

Very tidy... easy to look at, and they would never run out of spare blocks of 999.

Maybe it's because no QF/JQ 787s will ever end up on the Australian register? I'm sure finding a block of 9V regos won't be too hard

Anyone know when the next batch of QF B73Hs are due for delivery?

Cheers
