Hi all,
Was given permission to take photos of her today while it was being worked on. All engines have been removed, parts of the leading edge, most of the inside under the floors, nearly everything from the cockpit. Could not post all the images, so instead of ****farting around with it, you can view them at jetspotters Cheers Carsten

Very nice photos, of a very sad event. I especially liked the photos of the old time magazine and the Logs inside the aircraft.
I must say I am a fan of the interior design on Ansett's aircraft, with the arty Bulkhead and the cool designed and coloured seats. Can't get an interior designed like that anymore......

Thanks for posting the images Carsten.
It would have been nice to have restored -JJT in Ansett colours and saved it in a Museum somewhere but that's not to be. Unfortunately, the RAAFA Museum at Bull Creek doesn't have the space and I very much doubt that anyone would be interested in building another facility to display W A's rich aviation history. |
