Dad took me to see around late December 1948, the Bristol Brabazon being rolled out at Filton airport in Bristol UK.

One day in September 1991. I was 7 and the parents took my sister and I off the the US for our first over seas holiday. I remember that flight as if it was yesterday on board a QF 747-400. I just wish I could find out the rego. Would be awesome to know which aircraft I first flew on.

For me it started in March 1995 (pretty recent compared to most here, but I was only 8 at the time) when I took my first ever flight... on a British Airways 747-400 in the old Landor scheme. During the flight I was actually invited to see the flight deck, and that was it, I was hooked! Ever since then I've been keen on most all aspects of aviation and flightsim.
And thanks Matt for starting this post, as Phil said some very interesting stories.

For me it was in Mudgee out at the aerodrome and catching F27's via Dubbo to Sydney. I then would catch the early evening Ansett 727 with my parents to visit my aunt and uncle in Perth.
I was 5 at the time and it was 1975. It is still like yesterday and yes I was hooked... |

For me it started thanks to my fathers job. As a result, I was fortunate to fly at a young age and remember my experience like it was yesterday. I can still remember the old Sydney Airport observation deck and getting on a 747 for a domestic flight - it was such a thrill back then.
