I saw a No Photography/No Loitering sign on the rooftop of the staff carpark at the International Terminal, but I didn't see any signage at the Domestic Car Park. It's been several months since I've been at either terminal, however.

Does all of this mean that SydSquad can't do their YouTube live broadcasts from those car parks now?

I believe they've gone back to using Rydges.

Hey Robbie,

Yes, unfortunately P6 is out of action for all plane-spotters, which includes SydSquad.

In partnership with the Rydges Hotel, on occasion SydSquad streams from their rooftop which offers similar views.

Mitigating risks and liability is often the crucial motivating factor in these types of situations. Sometimes a safety railing or waist-high fence just isn't enough.

Most of the big international hotel chains that we all stay at when travelling no longer incorporate outdoor open-air balconies into their hotel suites when they build their new properties.

But that wasn't always the case until recently.

It seems 'jumpers' (suicide) is what they're trying to avoid, for legal reasons or reputation risks.
