Landed today late morning, 34L.

Long landing, all the way to the end, turned off to the last taxiway towards the Int'l terminal, followed by three (3) fire engines and numerous FAC vehicles.

Must have stayed there on the taxi-way for at least 20 minutes.

Towed to airbridge, unloaded and then loaded.

A couple of hours later taxied out, followed by a single fire truck and took off???

Any news?

I too would be interested in finding out what happened, i was onboard QF418 and as we touched down on 34L out the window i saw the fire services waiting on the side of the runway for the aircraft behind us. We were on 763 VH-OGK

Maybe they were just doing the standard Airbus proceedure of hosing off the cockpit?

Jokes aside, It would be interesting to find out why.
