Question QF1122 MEL-SYD 29 Oct

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone can shed light on why there is this random flight number on the schedule for MEL-SYD tomorrow night (29 Oct) ?

It's a 2040 departure and 2205 arrival, operated by an A330-200.

A friend is booking on it as staff and was double checking with me that it would still be departing/arriving at domestic terminals (because of the weird flight number), to which I said yes it would (assuming that because QF400-1599 is the range for Domestic).

Is it a positioning flight back from maintenance in AVV or something which they decided to earn some revenue on?
