Default Qantas charter for University of Canterbury students

Hi all,

University of Canterbury have chartered Qantas to fly over 300 students to Adelaide, so they can study at The University of Adelaide.

It departs Sunday 6th March at 1.25pm, and I was wondering if anyone here knew what a/c and if it is actually doing CHC-ADL.

Quotes are communications from UC

Today the University has made good progress advancing plans for the study abroad option for the first 350 New Zealand passport holding domestic undergraduate students at the University of Adelaide. A Qantas charter plane will leave from Christchurch on Sunday.

QF6036 is the flight no. Not sure on aircraft type yet. I guess it will be a B744 as no other aircraft in QF fleet besides the A380 holds more than 300 pax. but just will have to wait and see.

Alex,

Do you have aircraft type. Don't care about rego, as it will keep us in suspense if it is a B744.

QF6036 ETA 1510 ex. CHC
QF6002 ETD 1725 to. SYD

Are you quoting CHC-ADL -> ADL ETA?
and ADL-SYD -> ADL ETD?

I should be onboard this flight, but I'm going to decide tonight based on info given at a briefing today.

Does anyone know an approx flight time for CHC-ADL?

The times I put are ETA and ETD from Adelaide.

So it arrives into Adelaide at 1510 then departs Adelaide at 1725 to Sydney.

Flight around 4.5hrs roughly. That is a guess, i stand corrected on that.
