Default B-1 Lancers to be deployed to Northern Teritory.

USAF B-1 bombers will deploy to Australia apart of the Pacific shift from the U.S. Goverment.

Well the rumor has been around for a long time now, goverment is just trying to save face as they haven't announced it yet. And B-52's are rotating through The Northern Teritory even as late as a couple weeks ago so it's going on we just don't hear about it.

What's going on? The Buffs have been using Dalamere since 2005, and participating in Pitch Black, having assets based here is a different story, especially Bones.

Agree someone is saving face for letting the cat out of the bag.

Hi Jaryd

B52s have been exercising in the N T since the early 80s afaik.

In fact in 1981 or 82, I was flying to a remote community in the western N T when the pilot said to me "have a look out the window". There was a B52 some distance away belting along well below us and it was a sight I'll never forget.

I would love to have a few B-1's in Darwin.
Avalon Airshow had one a few years ago, and it was the loudest plane I have heard for a long time. Great stuff.
