Jet forced back
In today's Daily Telegraph says " A Qantas jet bound for Perth has been forced to return to Sydney Airport after a safety light turned on midair.
The Airbus A380 took off after 11.00 but was back on the tarmac by 12.30pm, after an indicator light showed a possible issue with the rear cargo doors, a Qantas spokesman said. Engineers are inspecting the aircraft. There is no evidence at this stage of a problem, he said. Passengers were moved to another flight which was due to depart yesterday afternoon. I can't believe that Qantas used A380 to Perth, as they are using A330 as normal flights to Perth and back all the time, so would anyone know about this? Hope, it is interest you all. |

This story just sums up mainstream media not reporting the facts correctly. The aircraft was Airbus A330-200 VH-EBA

Yep
As the years go by, I don't think journalists will EVER get aircraft types right when reporting. They don't get it, and they don't really care anyway. The article I saw even had a pic of the A380, and I knew it was totally wrong. I think the angle here was QANTAS and FORCED TO RETURN. You just have to laugh about it.
