Cathay Go Around this morning...
Was out on the mound, with around 10 others too I might add, and China Eastern A333 (?) arrived, QF 763 moved onto runway and stood there...
Inbound CX was rather close, and then WOW... Off she went in a puff of smoke (moving up to TOGA? no doubt??) and went around! Could not get camera out fast enough, so I simply watched it all unfold... For what it's worth, QF stayed on the runway for a good couple of minutes longer before firing up and departing... From what I saw, and not being a ATC/Pilot, but I was surprised to see the 763 move onto the active as it appeared to be a normal seperation between the China Eastern and the CX A333! All this was around 9.10- 9.15am and the CX A333 was the 100th Special Livery! Last edited by Bernie P; 16th January 2009 at 11:46 AM. Reason: Typo... Thanks Nigel! |

CPA161 (A333) went around at 0915. It was sequenced behind CSN325's arrival (A332) with QFA419 (VH-OGA) lined up in between.

Yeah I know 'stuff happens', but it was great to see one being executed!
