Default One in 10 Australian Men Admit to Mile-High 'Relationship'

OK, fess up guys. it's got to be at least a few from this site

Quote:
One in 10 Australian men say they have had a relationship or romance with someone they sat next to on an airline flight, a survey on inflight preferences has found.

Women were half as likely to admit to a high-altitude fling.

The survey also found 70 percent of respondents nominated their seat location as the most important factor contributing to the enjoyment of their journey.

The online survey of 1,000 respondents, by online travel specialist Expedia.com.au, found the front of the plane was the most popular seating place among 37 percent of respondents.

Nearly 30 percent nominated an exit row, 19 percent said over the wing, while only 15 per cent said the back of the plane.

Expedia recommends selecting a seat at the time of booking.

"We know that being able to choose the most suitable seat improves the comfort of a flight and the overall travel experience of our customers," Expedia's Louise Crompton said releasing the survey results.

The travel company has introduced new technology that enables customers to view and select their seating preferences when booking certain international flights.

The survey found about 20 percent of travellers felt safer with a male pilot, although some 80 percent expressed no gender preference.

Less than one percent of respondents said they felt safer in the hands of a female pilot.

Unsurprisingly, the research also showed that 73 percent of travellers find sleeping on a plane difficult.

Among other irritations on a flight, 65 percent complained about cramped seats, 24 percent cited crying babies, poor in-flight entertainment scored six percent and five percent said preferred food options not being available.

No kidding. I sit next to my wife on every flight I take, but I haven't had any 'romance' while actually on the plane..

I guess poorly worded journalism is the norm these days
