Piaggio Avanti at BNE

Currently in RFDS hangar at BNE is PK-VVX .

Aircraft will be in BNE till 16sep with Bankstown after then.

The aircraft also come through Mount Isa on it's way from Darwin. Quite a nice machine inside and out.

The Avanti arrived in the Sydney area around 6.30pm. Will be at Bankstown until Friday/Saturday when it leaves for Essendon (according to Lloyd's schedule info).

Will try and get out tomorrow for a look (only 2 examples seen on 2 recent trips to the UK)

Peter,

I was leaving the jetbase tonight about 6:40pm and and though I saw the Piaggio arriving on 16L at YSSY. I'm not sure it was however what drew my attention to this aircraft was a very distinctive engine/prop noise which I have never heard from other turboprop or prop aircraft.

Just wondering if the Piaggio is at YSSY instead of YSBK?

According to Webtrak, at 649pm a 'P180' appears from BNE-SYD and lands shortly after. Using the search function a P180 comes back as a Piaggio so i'm going to say yes its at Sydney.
Happy to be corrected though.
