ANA Heavy Landing.
Would've been a fun ride. Not such a great walk around for the next sector though.
Wonder how the carbon fuselage of the 787 would've coped. http://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/videone...00845-fnn-soci http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cV41r...e_gdata_player Todd. Last edited by Todd Hendry; 21st June 2012 at 07:47 PM. Reason: Additional video |

It may have simply absorbed the shock, rather than deforming.
Or shattered of course. |

By the look of the crease in fuse it is not healthy at all.

I hate to disappoint but they won't throw it away. It most certainly will be fixed. Probably by the Boeing AOG team. It has happened before and will happen again. They don't like being landed on the nose gear or derotated too hard on it anyway.

Yeah. More times than you think actually. I think the AOG guys are good at it now.

Have any of our local carriers had any recent incidents like this?
